Always consider the environment, and where possible use compostable cutlery such as wooden, bamboo or plant-fibre cutlery. Beware of \u201ccompostable\u201d or \u201cbiodegradable\u201d plastic: it has the unfortunate habit of 1) not breaking down in a domestic compost, only under high heat treatment; 2) when industrially broken down, becomes a sticky resin that doesn\u2019t do any soil any favours; and 3) cannot be plastics recycled at all.
