Commonly used in packaging or as insulation, expanded polystyrene (EPS) is made up of 98% air and is 100% recyclable. Common examples are packaging for small and large appliances, packing peanuts and white polystyrene fruit and vegetable boxes.<\/p>\n

Due to its light weight and often large volumes, EPS can take up a massive amount of unnecessary space in your bins (and in landfill, if that\u2019s where it ends up). Plus, it\u2019s non-biodegradable so putting it in the ground definitely isn\u2019t a \u2018solution\u2019.<\/p>\n
