Non-ferrous scrap metals are sourced from industrial scrap materials, particle emissions and obsolete technology (for example,\u00a0copper cables) scrap.<sup id=\"cite_ref-9\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Non-ferrous metals are used because of desirable properties such as low weight (e.g. aluminium), higher conductivity (e.g.\u00a0copper), non-magnetic property or\u00a0resistance to corrosion\u00a0(e.g.\u00a0zinc).
